Korean PCB Industry has increased by more than 10% on average during 1991 to 2012 and Korea has grown to be the 4th largest PCB producer in the world. Though Korea is being caught in nutcracker between low-cost China and High-tech Japan, Korea is competing with Japan in some advanced PCB technology ways. The notable example is Embedded PCB segment. Embedded PCB is one of High-tech technology which market is being increased dramatically and future market dominating power depends on standardization activity. Korea has proposed IEC international standard related to embedded PCB and it is in the process of 3CD stage. It's the first time for Korean PCB industry to propose IEC standard and there were triors and errors to proceed to next step. It's a report on how to lead international collaboration for establishing Korean proposed standard as an IEC international standard.
